Here's something of which I am certain - if their HAD been one of those non -verbal, subtextual, intuitive connections between you two guys during that 6 hour stretch, then you WOULD be friends to this day. The question of sanity versus insanity not withstanding, you're good at that kind of thing, so I'm not buying the "I guess we'll never know" angle. To be a little more concise, had it been butter, you'd have known better. Under the heading 'Friend's Dads I Have Known', I think of your dad and your relationship with him often. In that spirit, I wish you a slightly belated happy Father's Day.
